GAME: 10-BALL  10-BALL is a rotation game just like 9-BALL

RATINGS:  The TotalPool League uses a very simple and accurate system to calculate a person's individual rating.  Players will start with an average given to them by the TotalPool League.  The averages will vary depending on the player's skill level.

SCORING SYSTEM:  Each player will play two 10-rack sets of ten-ball each night (20 total racks).  Players will rack their own rack, break, and then attempt to run out.  After every missed shot, scratch or foul a player will have ball-in-hand anywhere on the table and will then continue to run out.  Every player must break between the first and third diamonds (the box).  For each missed s hot the player will be scored 1 point.  For each scratch or foul the player will be scored 3 points.   Not sinking a ball on the break is considered a missed shot.  If a player fouls or scraches and makes a ball the ball will stay down.  Players will alternate at the table after each rack.

POINT STANDINGSThe point standings are determined by a bonus point structure designed by the league.  These points will accumulate each week during a session.  How well the player does against his/her own average is the basis of the point standings.

FINALS/REGIONALS:

  • The points leader from each room is guaranteed to go to the finals as long as at least 2 players from his/her room played in a minimum of 10 weeks.

  • Finals:  Each session will have its own finals.  If a player wishes to qualify for the finals he/she must have competed in a minimum of 10 weeks in the league.  If that player decides to play in more than 10 weeks the league will drop the worst scoring weeks and keep the top 10 weeks.  This may be done only 3 times.  Example: Joe Smith decides to play 15 weeks of the 16 week session.  The league will drop the worst 3 weeks' scores from the FIRST 13 WEEKS PLAYED.

  • Regionals:  The top half of the remaining players in the room who have competed in a minimum of 10 weeks will be invited to the regionals.  Example: The room has 16 players compete in a minimum of 10 weeks.  One of these players has automatically qualified for the finals.  Half of the remaining fifteen players (8 players) are invited to the regionals.  A certain number of players (depending on the size of field) at the regionals will be invited to compete in the finals.

BONUS EVENT:  Any player who competes a full 16 weeks (make-up scores are included) will be invited to play in a tournament just for them.
